ultimate English breakfast

English Breakfast is a traditional and hearty meal that typically includes a combination of eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, and black pudding (a type of blood sausage).

Sometimes it is also served with toast, fried bread, or potatoes. It is typically served as a large meal in the morning and is thought to have originated in the 19th century as a way for the British upper class to start their day with a substantial and satisfying meal.

Today, it is still a popular breakfast choice in the UK and is often served in cafes and hotels.

Ingredients:

- 2 large eggs

- 2 sausages

- 2 rashers of bacon

- 1 medium tomato

- 4 mushrooms

- 2 slices of bread

- 1 tbsp butter

- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.

2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the sausages. Cook for 5 minutes on each side until browned.

3. In the same pan, add the bacon and cook until crispy.

4. While the bacon and sausages are cooking, slice the tomato into half-inch rounds and the mushrooms into halves.

5. On a lined baking tray, place the tomato and mushrooms and lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle a little oil over the vegetables and bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

6. Toast the bread until golden brown and spread with butter.

7. In a separate pan, fry the eggs to your liking, adding salt and pepper to taste.

8. Serve the sausages and bacon on a plate with the roasted tomato and mushrooms on top. Add the toast and fried eggs to the plate and enjoy!
