Classic Potato Curry


Hello Friends tonight we are having Classic Potato Curry for Dinner. I guess most of the Curry sauce is originated from India, then sprayed all over the world.


Potato Curry is one among Indian cuisine widely cook. So let start.



 Ingredients:

- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced

- 1 onion, chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tsp ginger, grated

- 1 tsp cumin seeds

- 1 tsp coriander seeds

- ½ tsp turmeric

- ½ tsp paprika

- ½ tsp chili powder

- 2 tbsp vegetable oil

- ½ cup water

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)


Instructions:


1. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and coriander seeds and fry for a few seconds until fragrant.


2. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger and fry until the onions are golden brown.


3. Add the diced potatoes and fry for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.


4. Add the turmeric, paprika, and chili powder and stir to combine.


5. Add ½ cup of water, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are tender.


6. Remove the lid and continue simmering until the sauce thickens.


7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.


8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves, if desired.
