Chefs Sly Classic Penne Pasta.



Ingredients:

- 1 pound penne pasta

- 1/4 cup olive oil

- 3 garlic cloves, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

- 1 can diced tomatoes

- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions:


1. Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.


2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.


3. Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet and let cook for another 5 minutes or until heated through.


4. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss with the tomato sauce until the pasta is coated.


5. Stir in the chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.


6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.


7. Serve hot and enjoy! Optional: garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil.
