What is SuperFood!

Superfood is a term used to describe a type of food that is considered to be especially nutritious and beneficial for health. 

These foods are typically high in nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other healthy compounds like fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. Some examples of commonly recognized superfoods include berries, leafy greens, nuts and seeds, whole grains, and fatty fish.

 The Origin of SuperFood: 

The term  “superfood”  originates from a  1918 publication.  During World War I, the  United States  began importing  large quantities  of bananas. Yes,  bananas were actually  the first  superfood.  Nutritionists  value  bananas for their versatility,  nutritional value,  ease of  digestion  and convenient natural packaging. Thus, bananas became a staple food for  both children  and  adults. To this day, it remains  a  reliable  health  food.  

 

  Bananas'  high potassium  content is a big plus,  but  their  benefits  don't end  there.
